The fly my 4yr old has picked out of my box, she says I must use this on my first night outing of the season because "fish like blue because the sea is blue" apparently ??? 1 1/4" aluminium slipstream tube from veinards, silver holographic body, medium tinsell rib, black fox first wing, blue goat 2nd wing and 2 strands of crystal mirror flash.

Had another three hours on the Wear today.
Got the rod bent at last but unfortunately it was a well mended kelt.
Cock fish, probably about 12lb went it was fresh
That's it for a while now, holidays are over and work is on the horizon ??

I checked a weight to length chart when I got back, apparently it would have been nearer 17lb when fresh run ?

Not many cock fish survive after spawning, let’s hope it makes its way back to spawn again, a real monster!!
