Had a few hours on the wear yesterday, I moved the same salmon twice on a small(ish) sunray shadow, seen fish after fish lopping reet out the water both seatrout and salmon, I had swirls and big bow waves to the fly, how I never hooked a fish is beyond me they were bloody everywhere!
Covered numerous fish like that on the Usk this season, fly went past them then they jumped or rolled after the fly past them .Just not interested.

I fished one pool which has a medium flow, first cast a big bow wave off down stream, there must of been a fish laying and the sunray spooked it off ??, a lovely way to fish BTW
