Fished the Tarn yesterday with my still water mentor Scratch.<br>A cool southerly breeze topped with intermittent heavy showers produced a few pieces of Malham tarn gold

Nice fish GH. It's a while since I fished the Tarn. Nice to see there are still good fish in there. I had heard bad reports over recent years.

Hi all
Its a hard water to fish average one fish for every 10 hours fishing effort as they are all wild fish.
Some cracking perch to be had that fight like the devil.
if you have had three fish in a day you have done very well my best from the tarn was 6.5lbs pure wild golden browns. I caught it last year.

cost

£20-25 pending week day or weekend
per person

Boat only no casting from the bank catch and release and production of a current EA licence.

Keep an eye on the weather if its windy its a nightmare as very little shelter.

Max four boats so you need to book in advance.
