Looks a bit like Long Preston seeps on the Ribble. Is it a Chalk stream Dave? Welcome aboard by the way!!
Hi Luney, and thanks to all for your welcome .
the Cuckmere rises in the chalk Downs , but i wouldn't class it as a proper chalk stream., more of a small spate river if anything.
it has a run of ST , some of the largest fish in the Country , but not great numbers . tidal for a couple of miles up to the 1st weir it also gas a lot of difficult mullet and some bass ---and visitors in the Country Park lower reaches . it is notorious as a difficult water whatever the quarry
