I'm sure that it is wonderful, I thought the first version was good, but I feel a bit left out of the thread right now!
Hi Alec,Sewinbasher, sorry mate it's not meant to make anyone feel excluded, just to keep undesirables out. I notice from your location details your in the vale of Clwyd, are you a member of DCAC? if so I'm pretty sure it's more the merrier, Clwydman is in charge of new member approval though.
Clwydman, Can I let him in?
Assuming, he says yes, can you just tell me what version of Microsoft Word you use, if you use version 2000 or under my encryption method will not let you in as it's old technology and not very secure, but I can let you in via a different method, which is what I had to do with apprentice 2 and clwydman.
Speak to you soon,
Alec
Yep, Identification of main spawning tributaries. Spot on, even remembered to update the amendment sheet, and save the new version number to the filename. Give yourself a pat on the backTried putting a couple of things on the map
Someone look if they are there please???????????????
preferably before Highplains looks and takes the mick
Brilliant mate, Iv'e applied the grid ref's to the map. I have marked the position as accurately as I can remember from Saturday, but with the addition of the grid ref's makes it perfect. If we can build on this and get all the others it will be mint.I have PM'd Alecf with the grid refs of the sites.
If anybody has details of any other poaching hot spots that are known to be "live" and used within the last two years please will you lat me have them for my record. Somebody did email me a comprehensive list of spots on the system which I forwarded to the EAW but lost when I changed my PC so a second copy of that would be really appreciated.
I am particularly interested in the grid refs for the "avalanche pool" and "Black hole" pool on the Elwy. I know these are still regularly hammered. It may be that I have the name slightly off, but anybody that knows the spots will recognise them for the real names.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks
Highplains

Rhyl & St. Asaph AC have some good water on both rivers and unlike DCAC some of the better beats are rod limited and have to be booked. On the Clwyd they have the opposite bank to DCAC in a number places which you will know about but they have extensive water below Llanerch bridge and down as far as the A55 which will see fish off the tide even with not much water on.The river level data on the EA's web site is proving very interesting even before the season starts. The Clwyd and the Elwy, (not surprisingly now I have thought about it - they do have different watersheds), can behave quite differently. One can be rising while the other is falling. The graphs have quite coarse scales but probably sufficent to be usefull in planning fishing trips. As the DCAC only have a short stretch of the Elwy I am planning to apply to Rhyl and St. Asaph to access a larger stretch of the Elwy.
Most of the postings refer to the DCAC waters can anybody provide advice on the Rhyl waters??
