The first book i read on fishing was The Art of the Wet Fly BY w.s Roger Fogg.
Last week in my local libray i came across Wet-Fly Tying and Fishing by Roger Fogg.
Roger Foggs first book i read in 1979 has taught me most of what i know about the northern wet fly.
Also this week a fellow northerner has given me the Website Forum called The Art of the Wet Fly and run by Roger Fogg.
I would never have believed i would be talking to Roger Fogg in my life, just shows how powefull the internet is.
Anybody intrested in the traditional methods of fishing the wet fly on rivers and stillwaters Mr Foggs books and website are well worth reading.
I learnt how to tie my first Black and Peacock from the book in 1979 .
I also started useing the Peter- Ross on the Upland Reservoirs of Teesdale after reading the book.
I still have the book and is now a collectable book:)PB
