That was taken on 20th May, so probably only 2-3" above the lowest recorded level.

    Photo help.

Thanks for the reply, tbh I'm not one for downloading stuff, I was kinda hoping an admin might be able to look into it and sort something out, as I say I can post pics on other forums no probs. I'll give it a couple of days and see if admin reply to me.

    River Nith 2019

Was on Friarse Carse last night for the second night of the Sea trout experience, with clear skies and it being the longest day it was never going to get properly dark, thankfully there's a few trees bankside on that beat so wasn't too bad. My set up for the night was a full floater with a 5ft...

    Nith, 2018

John was back down last night so I decided to have a bash as well, when we spoke on the phone at 4pm conditions were perfect with plenty of cloud cover as we knew the moon was going to be high in the sky and near full. But as so often happens when John arrived at Scaurfoot at 8.30pm the sky was...

    Nith, 2018

A mate of mine, John, who has a visitor season ticket was making an appearance for the sea trout last night so I told him I'd go down and give it a bash as well. We both knew we were up against it due to the drought and the river at near record lows, added to that was a lack of flow in most of...

    Nith, 2018

Not sure why I'm starting this thread tbh, been hard going the last few years with most nights going by without even hearing a splash never mind hooking a sea trout, but the ticket has been bought and here goes another season. Been out four times to date and yet to hook even a parr, there does...

    River nith 2017.

Here we go again, Feb 25th is opening day on the Nith and we'll all be hoping for some decent sport this season. Must admit I struggled last season at the night fishing as the river never seemed to be settled for any length of time. Fingers crossed we'll have better conditions this year and get...

    River nith 2015.

Don't know how Jim missed out the fourth member of our team last night. Brodie and I got there early last night and I set up the wee rod for him with a greenwells on it, all we were hoping for was some small troots or parr which would keep him interested, nothing came his way. Other...

    River nith 2015.

Back at it last night on the Burgh [lower], the tidal stretch at Castledykes. Jim and I headed down a bit and left Bill and Jim at the top where they wanted to fish. While we were waiting for dark Jim was prancing about on the gravel grinning like a Cheshire cat because he was fishing with his...

    River nith 2015.

Blackwood lower last night. The four of us got to the water about 9pm, weather was warm, quite fiery with a good bit of cloud cover and river low and clear. I tackled up with an airflow floating line with a 12ft intermediate tip and put on two size 12 doubles, a greenwells and a bloody butcher...
